  「Way Home」 is a story featuring a fly, a dung beetle, and a farmer. Through a tragic episode that is also filled with humor and brightness, I would like to give the viewers an opportunity to think about what they are chasing after and what is truly precious in life.

  When considering the theme of the film, some would perceive a fate that no one can alter, or a natural cycle of life. Others would simply experience the nothingness at life's end. Regardless of which notion would weigh heavier on their minds, it would all narrow down to a question about 'life' after all.

「Way Home」은 하루라는 시간 동안 파리의 등장으로 시작해 농부의 등장으로 끝이 난다. 그 사이 벌어지게 되는 발랄하고 유머러스한 한편의 비극을 통해, 감독은 관객으로 하여금 삶의 이유와 가치에 대해 생각할 수 있는 계기를 마련하고자 하였고, 그러한 주제에 관객이 닿기까지의 과정이 열려있는 것이 이 작품의 특성이라고 할 수 있겠다. 어떤 이들은 이 작품에서 거스를 수 없이 돌고 도는 자연의 섭리를 발견할 것이고, 어떤 이들은 단순히 허무적인 생의 마지막을 경험할 수도 있다. 하지만 어떤 것에 무게를 두었든 주제는 결국 ‘삶의 가치’에 대한 자문으로 좁아지게 될 것이다.
